Angela Budibent, much-loved wife of Barry, mother to Giles and Nick, mother-in-law to Sally and Amanda, and grandmother to Benjamin, died at the age of 63 from ovarian cancer. She was diagnosed in 2003 with breast cancer, which she overcame, but five years later she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She fought her illness with grace and bravery and was determined to explore all treatment options, undergoing surgery and chemotherapy. Ovarian Cancer Action works to improve women’s chances of survival by funding research and raising awareness of the disease. Professor Hani Gabra, who was Angela’s oncologist, is director of research at the charity’s research centre. Angela would have been proud to help support a charity that allows him and others to continue to develop new methods for treating cancer. Thank you very much for your generosity.
